Welcome to the web page of the Long Island Latino Association, Inc., (LILA)! To facilitate the access to the information we publish, the web page has been divided into different and easy to navigate sections.
To get started, the page includes a link to Google Translate to make it easier for you to read in your preferred language. As you probably know, sometimes the electronic translation of some frases or terms of either English or Spanish languages, may not be a hundred percent accurate, but understandable.
On the cover or Home, you can find the menu, headlines and photographs that can take you to the section of the interior that you are interested on accessing.
Among the fixed pages or sections, you will find those titled About Us / Quiénes somos, Directory / Directorio, Contact / Contacto, Events / Eventos, and the Blog. The latter two will be the most interactive of all.
About Us is where we showcase the mission, vision and goals of LILA, the organization. In the link called Our Team you will find short bios and photos of LILA’s staff and collaborators.
The Directory lists the names, telephone numbers, and addresses and web pages when available, of non-profit and government organizations dedicated to serving and assisting the Latino communities on Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk counties. It also includes a list of these in New York City, New York State, and allied agencies and organizations nationwide. This directory will expand as organizations and agencies email us with updated information.
In the Events section we will maintain a list of notice cards of events and activities of interest to the Latino community in the Long Island region and New York State. This list is updated regularly.
The Blog is our newsletter for information, news and photographs that are updated regularly. The texts are written by our staff and collaborators. The photographic images are either taken by our staff or sent to us by the community groups. In some writings you can interact with comments or questions. The material of the blog accumulates in an archive from where you can retrieve it using our search tool.
To contact us you can write to our email address.
